In 2001 I was employed at SUNY Geneseo’s Computing and Information Technology where I serviced Windows and Macintosh computers both in person and over the phone for faculty, staff and students.
As I became more experienced with a wide variety of technical support problems, I found that I greatly enjoyed the work and found satisfaction in pleasing customers. At this time I also realized how important it was that I share my knowledge to those that did not have time or care to understand technology when it wasn't working properly. However, CIT did not cater to off-campus students at the time. These students were left without technical support and were forced to rely on retail chains in Rochester for assistance. When the service required is not local, additional costs such as transportation of the computer system are often incurred at the user’s expense. It is also inconvenient to unhook a computer and bring it to a repair center. What a better way to have support on-site! Taking this into consideration, I recognized that there were more people in need of the service I was offering. Hidden Hills Tech began because of this need. I started Hidden Hills Tech as a business with the goal of providing quality, effective, courteous technical support to Rochester and surrounding areas. Simply put, Hidden Hills Tech provides full-service technical support. We provide professional technical support on-site affordably and offer suggestions on better computing practices to correct or avoid such a problem in the future.
In addition to technical support, Hidden Hills Tech also recommends technology for your home or office needs. We only provide the components that we trust and believe to be of the highest quality. Hidden Hills Tech will never recommend “bargain” hardware in an effort to cut corners and save a paltry few dollars at the expense of reliability.
